Clinical — Deployment Architecture
A product of UMI
Universal Motion Intelligence
Healthcare deployment architecture
The intelligence may be shared. The standard surrounding it is not.
bitsign Personal and bitsign Clinical run on the same underlying communication intelligence. A consumer uses Personal for everyday communication on their own device. A healthcare organization deploys Clinical into a regulated clinical environment — and that environment changes almost everything surrounding the intelligence: performance requirements, confidential processing, privacy governance, security review, facility integration, validation and operational accountability.
| Dimension | Personal | Clinical |
|---|---|---|
| Primary use | Everyday communication | Clinician-patient communication within approved healthcare workflows |
| Deployment | Self-service mobile / web application | Facility-managed deployment across approved clinical devices and environments |
| Performance environment | Shared inference infrastructure optimized for consumer availability and cost | Configured around more demanding performance, reliability and validation requirements, with greater compute allocation |
| Confidential processing | Standard encrypted consumer processing | Confidential-compute architecture designed for sensitive healthcare communication, including hardware-isolated processing environments where deployed |
| Data | Consumer privacy controls | Data minimization, consent-gated retention, controlled access and healthcare governance |
| Compliance | Consumer terms; not intended for regulated clinical deployment | Subject to appropriate privacy, security, accessibility, legal and compliance review; BAA-enabled deployment where applicable |
| Integration | Standalone application | Facility authentication, device management and workflow integration where required |
| Availability & support | Consumer service model | Clinical support model with defined availability targets established during deployment |
| Price | $9.99 / month | Starting at $15,000 / year, per clinical location — final scope determined by deployment environment |
What clinical deployment adds
Clinical communication operates under a different standard.
1. Clinical performance
Healthcare communication carries a different consequence of error. Clinical deployments are configured around more rigorous performance thresholds, continuous benchmarking, known failure boundaries and appropriate escalation behavior, including multimodal accuracy and confidence characterization.
Accuracy is not only a technical benchmark. In healthcare, it is a human requirement.
2. Confidential compute
Clinical conversation can carry protected health information even when no patient name or record number is ever captured. Sensitive inference executes within hardware-isolated processing environments, communications remain encrypted in transit, and access is controlled and auditable throughout.
3. Healthcare privacy & governance
bitsign is a communication layer, not a patient-record system, and is designed to avoid collecting patient identity where it is unnecessary. Clinical deployments can incorporate BAA governance where applicable, access controls, auditability, retention controls and facility security review. Any data retained for model improvement is explicit, consented and governed — never assumed.
4. Clinical validation
Consumer and clinical communication do not carry identical risk. Healthcare deployment adds clinical workflow validation, appropriate-use boundaries, known failure modes, escalation requirements and accessibility and Deaf-user validation. Qualified human interpreters remain essential where the interaction requires them; bitsign is intended to strengthen immediate communication availability alongside established accommodation processes.
5. Facility deployment
Clinical deployment is facility-managed and can incorporate controlled devices, authentication, device management, security configuration, workflow integration, documentation, training and implementation support.
6. Operational accountability
Healthcare technology carries operational obligations a consumer application does not. Clinical implementation includes defined support expectations, incident response procedures, security review, deployment governance and ongoing performance monitoring, established during deployment.
Health-system deployments requiring dedicated infrastructure, enterprise integrations, expanded support or organization-wide rollout are scoped separately.
Clinical deployment — starting at
$15,000 / year
per clinical location
Clinical deployments are individually scoped. Pricing reflects facility type, deployment scale, expected utilization, existing infrastructure, integration requirements, security configuration and support requirements. Multi-site, health-system, dedicated-infrastructure and advanced integration deployments are structured under enterprise agreements. Existing compatible infrastructure may reduce implementation scope.
The difference is not the app. It is the environment around the intelligence.
Clinical deployment begins with a working session to define the environment, requirements and appropriate pilot.
